About the Founder 

EBONY M TURNER

Attorney Ebony Turner, licensed to practice in Texas since 2001, is the owner of The Law Office of Ebony M. Turner LLC. Her primary practice area is criminal defense with some estate planning. Attorney Turner has been a Legislative Attorney, a Public Defender, and an Adjunct Professor of criminal justice at Tarrant County College. As a solo practitioner, Attorney Turner has come to rely heavily on the assistance of interns. She loves the opportunity to train and mentor future attorneys and legal professionals. These relationships have afforded her the opportunity to provide LSAT, law school, and employment referrals and recommendations on behalf of former interns.

ANAIAH M TURNER

Anaiah Turner is a junior, Political Science major at Texas Southern University ("TSU") in Houston, Texas. She is a Presidential Scholar, Barbara Jordan Leadership Institute Fellow/Club President, and Secretary of the TSU Volleyball Club. Her future plans include attending law school and pursuing a career as a prosecutor.

KEYSHA HOPKINS

Keysha is Director of Accessibility Services at Dallas College, with 25 years of experience in working with individuals with disabilities. She is an experienced advocate known for navigating complex systems to ensure access to vital resources and services. Keysha has a proven track record of developing personalized support plans, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and fostering inclusion in communities.

AYLEANNA WESTBROOKS

Ayleanna is a former EMTLAW Intern, having worked for Ms. Turner in her last semester as a Pre-Law student at The University of Texas at Arlington. She knows firsthand the value of gaining legal experience through an Internship. Ayleanna is currently employed at the Dallas County District Attorney’s ("DA") Office, while studying for the LSAT in preparation for applying to law school. Ayleanna credits the experience she gained as an EMTLAW intern with preparing her to work at the DA's office.
